ॐ नमः शिवाय

Having a cycle in back, Shiv dancing in front with snakes entwined, explains powerful philosophy of Sanatan Dharm. A cycle symbolises something beginning (Aadi) and something end (Ant). A cycle symbolises cosmic time, creation and destruction again creation and again destruction. A cycle symbolises birth followed by death, again birth and again death. Snakes symbolises desires, lusts which binds us in a Maya (I used word Maya because purposeful creation of illusion is called Maya). Shiv, Anadi and Anant, smiling, looks like he himself created this cycle of birth and rebirth, giving a message that we all came out of him and ultimately have to merge into him, what we do in between is part of his Maya. Everything in this material world is unreal, only reality is within you (doesn’t it sound like a sentence from quantum physics?). I carry many identities; a Hindu, an Indian, a Gujarati, a son, a brother, a researcher, an engineer, a lawyer, a learner, a teacher, will have independent existence from others, can’t be mixed with others. But, when I will be burnt, my ashes will be a plain Bhasm as like others, my Bhasm can be inseparably mixed with others’. Shiv accepts Bhasm because it doesn’t have any tatv, gun, kam, krodh, mad, moh, lobh. He tells a pathway of Moksh; leave kam, kroth, mad, moh and I will make you part of my body. (That’s why Shiv married Mata Parvati only after burning Kamdev, with which Devtas’ self interest, Kamdeva’s ego, Mata Parvati’s obsession, all these burnt into ashes. What was left in all of them was pure bliss without any expectation. That’s why Vivah is not a tool to exploit partner through expecting lust, security, wealth, property, power, position. Rather it is a Sanskar to attain Moksh through selfless service, bhakti, kartavy, dayitv.) Anyway, Let’s come to Maheshvar Sutras.

I always wondered why it begins with Svaras. It must be more than Pratyaksh Praman that Svaras have independent existence, unlike Vyanjanas which require Svaras to exist. Svaras have nothing in Adi and nothing in Ant. Vyanjanas have Svaras in Ant. Svaras are symbolic of Shiv and Vyanjanas are of living creatures; we are nothing without Shiv, at an Ant we have to merge with Shiv. And, this Maheswar Sutras are pathway of Moksh via creating Stutis of Shiv through learning Sanskrit!
